A couple of weeks ago, maybe even a month ago I emerged thunderbird without a problem, now on a new Hard Drive I get this after about an hour:

Code:
 * Building Enigmail plugin...
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

!!! ERROR: mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird-0.6-r1 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 237, Exitcode 2
!!! make ipc failed

Anyone have any ideas? I've tried the 'stable' emerge mozilla-thunderbird then I actually went into the mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird and emerged the latest ebuild, and getting the same thing. :(

I just re-sync'd and tried again, and I noticed this when I first started:

Code:
>>> Unpacking thunderbird-0.5-source.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/mozilla-thunderbird-0.5/work
crypt
>>> Unpacking ipc-1.0.5.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/mozilla-thunderbird-0.5/work
>>> Unpacking enigmail-0.83.2.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/mozilla-thunderbird-0.5/work
cp: cannot stat `/usr/portage/mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird/files/enigmail/Makefile-ipc': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat `/usr/portage/mail-client/mozilla-thunderbird/files/enigmail/Makefile-enigmail': No such file or directory
>>> Source unpacked.

Please report at the Bugzilla.

Commenting out the Enigmail stuff in the ebuild makes it work again, so if you think you don't need that it's just a slight modification.

Thanks everyone for your responses. The patch found on bugzilla did not work, I got the permission denied stuff like the other guy did. But, commenting out and / or using -crypt specifically for the compile worked. Thanks guys. :)

grab the two Makefile here:
http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/net-mail/mozilla-thunderbird/files/enigmail/ then put them in "/usr/portage/mail-client//mozilla-thunderbird/files/enigmail/"
