|
|
I'm creating a kernel and ramdisk image for network, diskless workstation booting. I was using the gentoo kernel and it would boot up, mount initrd and start working.
THEN I compiled the openmosix kernel and it gets right up to
Code: | VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem). |
and freezes. Switching back to the gentoo kernel, it boots. Switching back to openmosix, it doesn't. I tried disabling the openmosix feature in the openmosix kernel (just for posterity) but this has no effect.
I'm going to keep playing around, any ideas? |

don't know about openmosix, but with ltsp you did need to enable kernel network auto-detection (network options, goes along with dhcp and bootp), and some special root-over-nfs mode in the network filesystem section. |
