|
|
Yesterday I ran an emerge -u world. among other things Firebird was updated. Now firebird wont load.
I use ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86"
Firebird gives no errors it simply never loads. even running at the console produces no errors. I've tried all flavours. The only one that works is -bin. -cvs gives an error about some libraries missing (waiting for it to recompile so I can get the error again).
Any ideas? I assume a change in one of it's deps has borked something. I'm not sure how to track it down with no errors though... |

Here's the error that cvs gives when I try to run it. ie it compiled fine, but when I type MozillaFirebird at the console I get these two errors.
Code: |
nsNativeComponentLoader: GetFactory(libsystem-pref.so) Load FAILED with error:/usr/lib/MozillaFirebird/components/libsystem-pref.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
nsNativeComponentLoader: GetFactory(libwidget_gtk2.so) Load FAILED with error:/usr/lib/MozillaFirebird/components/libwidget_gtk2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

My suggestion would be to compile it with USE="gtk -gtk2" since GTK2 makes mozillafirebird pluggins really sllooowww... At least that happened to me with flash pluggin... |
