Error stopping gdm on shutdown. . .

I've got gentoo running very well with gnome on several different boxes, but on all of the boxes that I've got running gentoo whenever I shutdown the computer, it will shutdown okay, but I get an error that says "Error stopping gdm."

I'd like to fix this error, but I don't know where to look for more info (I haven't found any relevent logs yet), has anyone else had experience with fixing this problem?
