Problem with Galeon and Mozilla

Hi,
I've emerged both Galeon and Mozilla twice now, but they don't seem to want to work. There aren't any error messages after I emerge them, everything looks O.K., but when I try to run them things go haywire. Galeon loads itself repeatedly when I start it up (I have to dump out of X to turn it off), and Mozilla does nothing at all. I did install Mozilla (the second time) without installing Galeon and it worked fine, but after I emerged Galeon I'm back to square one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

delete the .galeon and .mozilla directories in your home.

I had the same problems using the 'stable' versions of both. After emerging the masked versions, mozilla worked again. Not a solution, but at least a workaround. I wonder what the holdup has been getting out new ebuilds for 1.4b?
