Yes, this is ANOTHER kde 3.2 emerge problem (the process stops when compiling kdelibs). I've spent the last days trying everything I've seen in these forums: unmerge kde 3.1.x and re-emerge kde 3.2, re-emerge qt, re-emerge arts, compile with the "ipv6" flag... Nothing has worked: kdelibs won't compile, and this is the error message I always get, apparently related to "kmwdriverselect.o":
Code:
/bin/sh ../../libtool --silent --mode=link --tag=CXX g++  -Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -W -Wpointer-arith -Wwrite-strings -ansi -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -Wchar-subscripts -DNDEBUG -DNO_DEBUG -O2 -march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -fforce-addr -falign-functions=4 -fprefetch-loop-arrays -Wformat-security -Wmissing-format-attribute -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fno-common  -DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST -DQT_NO_STL -DQT_NO_COMPAT -DQT_NO_TRANSLATION    -o libkdeprint_management.la -rpath /usr/kde/3.2/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/qt/3/lib -L/usr/kde/3.2/lib  -version-info 6:0:2 -no-undefined -Wl,--no-undefined -Wl,--allow-shlib-undefined kmdbcreator.lo kmdriverdb.lo kmdriverdbwidget.lo kmiconview.lo kminfopage.lo kmmainview.lo kmpages.lo kmprinterview.lo kmjobviewer.lo jobitem.lo kmpropwidget.lo kmpropcontainer.lo kmpropertypage.lo kmpropgeneral.lo cjanuswidget.lo kmpropmembers.lo kmpropbackend.lo kmpropdriver.lo kmlistview.lo kminstancepage.lo kmtimer.lo kmwizard.lo kmwizardpage.lo kmwinfopage.lo kmwpassword.lo kmwsocketutil.lo kmwbackend.lo kmwsocket.lo kmwdriver.lo kmwdriverselect.lo kmwdrivertest.lo kmwinfobase.lo kmwname.lo kmwend.lo kmwclass.lo kmwlpd.lo kmwfile.lo kmdriverdialog.lo kmwsmb.lo smbview.lo kmconfigdialog.lo kmconfigpage.lo kmconfiggeneral.lo kmspecialprinterdlg.lo kmwlocal.lo kiconselectaction.lo kmconfigpreview.lo sidepixmap.lo pluginaction.lo kxmlcommanddlg.lo kxmlcommandselector.lo kmconfigcommand.lo kmconfigfilter.lo kmconfigfonts.lo kmconfigjobs.lo networkscanner.lo ../libkdeprint.la

Any idea, please, please, pleeeeeeease? :cry:

EDIT: OK, I finally get this fixed. Just in case someone has the same (or similar) problem, the solution was to unmerge qt 3.3 and get back to qt 3.2.3-r1. I read about this in this post https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=131766&highlight=kdeprint, and it really works. KDE is compiling right now, but kdelibs already built with no problem, as well as kdebase. So far, so good...[/url]
