When I do a emerge -p world, a get a lot of packages that I dont want do upgrade/install, one of then is the "old" kde.

Code:

emerge -p world
[packages....]
[ebuild  N    ] kde-base/arts-1.1.5
[ebuild  N    ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1.5
[ebuild  N    ] kde-base/kdebase-3.1.5
[ebuild  N    ] kde-base/kdenetwork-3.1.5
[more packages...]

I did :

Code:

qpkg -q /usr/portage/kde-base/kdebase/kdebase-3.1.5.ebuild
kde-base/kdebase-3.1.5
DEPENDED ON BY:
        kde-base/kdeartwork-3.2.0_rc1
        kde-base/kdegraphics-3.2.0_rc1
        kde-base/kdenetwork-3.2.0_rc1

Why does this happen ?
I have a working kde3.2rc1. I have no kde3.1.x installed.

Greets.

KDE 3.1.x and 3.2.x are slotted. You can unmerge the older version via emerge -Cp "=kdewhatever-3.1*", but be sure to recompile ebuilds, that compiled against kde 3.1. Just run revdep-rebuild -p.
