Hi guys,

i just installed everything for getting and sending faxes with my
PC. If i start any ISDN software like capifaxrcvd my PC stands still
and I have to make a hard reset!

I cann successfully start /etc/init.d/capi start and all modules are
loaded by this init script but if I want to make a test call to AVM
or any other number my PC hangs ... and then reset!

Code:

Used hardware:
+ Fritz! Card PCI

Used software:
+ fcpci
+ isdn support built into kernel
+ capi2.0 support built as module

Kernel:
<M> CAPI2.0 support
[*]   Verbose reason code reporting (kernel size +=7K)
[*]   CAPI2.0 Middleware support (EXPERIMENTAL)
<M>   CAPI2.0 /dev/capi support
[*]     CAPI2.0 filesystem support
<M>   CAPI2.0 capidrv interface support

That's probably because you have SMP compiled into your kernel (which is the default, I guess). The AVM driver doesn't support SMP and therefore hangs the system.

Recompile your kernel with Single CPU support and you should be fine.

I don't know what my Dual-P3 (at least one of the two CPUs) thinks about it ;) No other solution?
