Upgrading udev - Compile Error

I've spent the last couple hours digging through Google and the Gentoo forums, hoping to not have to flood the forum with another post on udev. Unfortunately, I'm not finding my solution.

I recently took over server maintenance and found a Gentoo box that was substantially out of date on packages. I've got most of it cleaned up. I think the relevant error in compilation is as follows:
