|

Hello.
I was getting this warning from rkhunter [ --check --rwo ] :
rkhunter wrote: |
Warning: The SSH configuration option 'Protocol' has not been set.
The default value may be '2,1', to allow the use of protocol version 1.

So..since gimp and thunar (XFCE) depends on gnome-base/gvfs which depends on openssh I need openssh
After installing and using rkhunter the two configs cause rkhunter to output a unnecessary warning message.
In which in return makes the email report of rkhunter to spout out my machine might be infected.
I think this could be fixed by someguy...While writing this I understand now it could be reported in bugzilla.
Anyways. I fixed this by changing the config for rkhunter:
/etc/rkhunter.conf wrote: |
ALLOW_SSH_PROT_V1=2

Thanks for posting but I did the other alternative
Edit: The thing I wanted to tell, is that:
* I have not touched the two configs after installing them.
* The two configs causes a defective error output by default while running rkhunter.
I think that this should be addressed to the maintainers. Fix it or not, but at least I have pointed it out now. |
