No sound for firefox or mpv but mpd works fine.

The title pretty much says it all, earlier today I was messing around with dwm and when I came back to qtile I opened up firefox and it had no sound. When I try to play the videos with mpv the same happens, no sound, but when I put a song on with mpd then the sound comes through fine. Any help?

It may help if you can tell us how your system is set up?

Do you use pulseaudio / alsa?

In general I recommend you check out howtos about pulseaudio / alsa and come back when it does not work out.
