I'm running Totem in a recent Gentoo installation running Xfce 4.10. Whichever file I try to open with it: "An error occurred. Could not initialize supporting library".

The profile is "default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop".

$ emerge --info

and /etc/portage/package.use
gnome-base/gvfs -http
dev-lang/python sqlite
media-libs/grilo playlist

Obviously, gstreamer (with several of its plugins for many formats) is installed as dependency because of the global USE flags.

I've already run revdep-rebuild.

Does someone come up with any guess?

Thank you.

:roll: ...and just how is totem supposed to play anything if you didn't install relevant gstreamer plugins ?
