Last skype version that worked with ALSA?

Does anyone know what was the last ebuild of skype that worked with ALSA?

Hi,

Yes, it's the 4.2 series. But don't waste your time, M$ no longer allow the any non 4.3 series clients to connect. It has seriously pissed off pulseless linux and Mac OS <10.6 users, but we are such a minority that nobody seems to care.

For what it's worth, without pulse the 4.3 series will still install and work as an IM client, but calls are not possible.

confirmed, skype 4.2 no longer connects.
Seems to be a final call to look for something else
