checking postfix status reads:

And I cannot send or receive mails after this upgrade. As dispatch-conf wanted to re-write main.cf I ended up zapping it. For a quick fix, I wanted to downgrade thus masked 3.4.9 but there does not seem to be any older version around ? Help needed please. Feel a bit lost right now.

Looking in emerge.log I see that I had postfix-3.4.5-r1 before, but there is no ebuild for this anymore, not even in zugaina.
Trying to send a mail from roundcube (login is still possible), I get smtp error (-1) connection failed 
Also tried postfix: To disable backwards compatibility use "postconf compatibility_level=2" and "postfix reload" but same result.
Unfortunately I forgot about demerge. The only timestamp I have for is probably too old (2019-11-22 14:34:56)
status of dovecot and postfix are: started..

| Apparently I did hit U instead of Z - one right after the other on my keyboard. Luckily I still had whole etc folder backuped so I could recover. Solved, and reminded me to copy an actual version of my etc folder and use demerge in the future. |
