When one has to use potentially evil USB devices there is the chance, that such devices pose as a keyboard and infect the connected PC with malware.
By dividing the USB ports into trusted ports (HID devices are allowed on them) and untrusted ports (HID devices are recognized, but input from them is just dropped), and using the untrusted ports to plug in the evil sticks, that attack class could be mitigated.

Is there a way to configure selected (not all) USB ports to not accept HID devices (but allow all other device classes supported by the kernel)?

I am a hardened Gentoo (but not Selinux) with udev user. Already searched a bit but did not found ways for selectively disabling only some device classes on only some ports. Results where about disabling whole ports or whole device classes for all ports.
