Just installed Gnome 3.10 and I notice that the animations in my Fedora partition are much smoother than in Gentoo. For example, when putting the cursor in the upper left corner, open windows scale smoothly to a smaller size in Fedora where they do not in Gentoo. Could this be a vsync issue? Direct rendering is currently enabled...

Edit: On second thought, direct rendering may not be working properly.
Code:
glxinfo | grep rendering
direct rendering: Yes

Does this mean that hardware acceleration is working, or only that my card is capable of hardware acceleration?

I "fixed" the animation problems by switching to the AMD binary driver. Is anybody else running the open source radeon driver with Gnome 3.10? Are your window resizing animations smooth, or jerky?
