I emerged netatalk on my sparc5 using:
Code: | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" |
Compiled and installed fine. I copied the entire contents of an Appleshare server volume over to a reiserFS volume on a 72GB sun raid array attatched to the machine. I also shared that volume via NFS and Samba. All the machines in the building can now access files in the same place. It has been completely stable thusfar, and noone even knew I made the switch.
My main question is why I couldn't even use Code: | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~sparc" | to install it? Is there just not enough demand for it? |

Thats what bugzilla is made for.
Fill a bug on https://bugs.gentoo.org which says "foo works fine on sparc" and assign it to Gentoo/Sparc. The next dev with some free time will test and keyword it then.
I am currently at work, else I would do it. _________________ Gentoo Linux/Sparc Developer
