I have tried to resolve the ugly window border by configuring ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css with ...

Code:
* {
    -GtkWindow-resize-grip-default: false;
}

Restarting gnome 3 with the config will still have the ugly window border in gvim

- setting the guifont to a smaller font will shrink the white border.
- Only window theme affecting Gvim. The Dark theme does not color the border

I'm looking for a way to hide or remove the right and bottom borders.
