Hi All,
I have a SunBlade 100 sitting around and I am planning to install Gentoo on it. The last time I tried to boot the Debian 3.0 cd, the system said that the Debian CD has a bad magic block number and so it won't boot. I heard that Sparc requires that the cdrom file structure must have 6 slices ? So I wonder whether downloading the Gentoo GRP iso and burning to a CD-R will Just Work, or do I have to perform some exotic/erotic black magic on the CD-R ? TIA... _________________ Three minutes of thought would suffice to find this out. But then, thought is irksome, and three minutes is a rather long time.

Everything seems to work beautifully. Do a search through the forums for reference_clock- i had to add that in as an option to my xf86config in order for x to work. Other than that everything was by the install guide. |
