Hi,
i have a application that installs a binaries and associated libs, data files, etc(doesn't compile anything as far as I can tell) using an install.sh and python installer.
I'd like to create an ebuild. Trying to translate what the installer seems pretty complicated. It seems like an easier way would be to configure the install.sh and just run it with the right arguments.
What is the preferred way of installing this application via ebuild? |

The downside of re-implementing install.sh is maintanence on a future update to install.sh that you would have to re-implement _________________

Thx Naib. Good Point.
Can anyone suggest an ebuild that runs an install.sh as an example? |
