Touchpad on Toshiba 1400

Hey everyone,
Im converting YA person to Gentoo, and his Toshiba Satellite 1400 needs a little help.
....we cant find out what port the mouse is in.... :oops:

It is not the /dev/mouse or /edv/psaux. We have used the Cat command and played with the mouse on ports
we suspect of working, but nothing happens. Does anyone know the port, or another way to fix this?

Basically, he wants KDE and it wont run w/ out a mouse, so....
