Hi there,
whenever I boot Gentoo wpa_supplicat is started twice. One process might be started from the NetworkManager service. If I kill that one it will be restarted automatically immediately.
I have no idea where the other process comes from which I first have to kill to use my W-LAN.

How can I get the starting service. It seems that the parent process is init.

My rc-status output:
Runlevel: default
dbus [ started ]
NetworkManager [ started ]
avahi-daemon [ started ]
syslog-ng [ started ]
gpm [ started ]
alsasound [ started ]
ntp-client [ stopped ]
acpid [ started ]
bootchart2 [ started ]
cupsd [ started ]
cups-browsed [ started ]
fcron [ started ]
ntpd [ started ]
thinkfan [ started ]
local [ started ]
Dynamic Runlevel: hotplugged
Dynamic Runlevel: needed
xdm-setup [ started ]
Dynamic Runlevel: manual

Am I missing something?

Could be dhcpcd starting it as well. I don't know if you have Network Manager configured to use dhcpcd or not.
