|
|
I have tried to use genkernel to compile and install a new Debian kernel (in Funtoo). However, it tries to compile all the modules, and there is not enough HD memory to do so in my system.
I would be happy to just manually select what I want to compile in. However, now each time I try to emerge sources, genkernel wants to take over and compile the modules.
Running menuconfig is not an option, as my arrow keys are printing garbage on the menuconfig screen instead of controlling it.
Help? How can I disable genkernel?
This is a VMWare virtual machine with no current X (and no VMWare utils). _________________ Proprietary is theft. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, if he had a chance

Moved from Kernel & Hardware to Unsupported Software.
We can't always help with funtoo.
If your arrow keys don't work you may have selected an incorrect keymap at boot time.
There is make config too. _________________ Regards,
