I just came across a fork of openssl that starts to develop again from scratch by openbsd people. For more details check this:
http://www.libressl.org/
I wish some developers from gentoo will help too so we can get a better software |

'From scratch?' I understand that's a nice buzzword, but that's not what they're doing. Burning down legacy code, big scale refactoring, introducing sane coding practices, that's what it is about.
Not only does it seem right what they are doing, it is also quite fun to read: http://www.openbsd.org/papers/bsdcan14-libressl/mgp00001.html
However, I would like to see those changes merged back into upstream OpenSSL. After all, OpenBSD aren't *quite* big on resources either, while the Linux Foundation is now backing OpenSSL. |

There's a video to go with those slides; www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnBbhXBDmwU _________________ "Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws."
