I don't understand what you're actually trying to do. interfaces named enp typicaly reffer to wired devices.
If you want to install gentoo on a virtual machine, it doesn't matter what devices your phisical, host computer has. Qemu will emulate some devices, and OS running on qemu will not see or use phisical devices.
AFAIR by default qemu emulates a single ethernet device connected to the internet in user mode, so nobody can see or access virtual guest but guest can see other computers in network.
Finaly, even with wireless interfaces you have to enable wireless extensions in kernel before you can use iwconfig as it's considered obsolete and replaced by iw. |
