Hi all,

I am working on a xdg application menu with full support for the additional freedesktop categories.
It is made with fvwm and fvwm-menu-desktop in mind, but should work with any other xdg compliant wm/desktop.

Currently, the menu structure is fully implemented, which means the menu is already fully usable and better than the default xdg application menu that come with any wm/desktop (at the exception of fvwm-crystal which even implement some extra categories).

You can find it here: https://github.com/domichel/fvwm-xdg-menu

Any comment, bug report, etc. are welcome.

EDIT: the menu structure is 100% done.
EDIT2: I added a few words at github about how to use it with other wm/desktops.

EDIT3: The icons are done. Each category have its own icon now.

A little up. I tested that menu with different desktops. The only one that doesn't want at all to work with it is kde. kbuldsycoca4 just get crazy if I try to force kde to use that menu.

Otherwise, as my system is *kit free, if someone can try it with Gnome and report if it work, and if yes what has to be done to get it to work with gnome, I would be grateful.
