I'm trying to use lxmed, but it gives me this:

Code:

/usr/share/java-config-2/launcher/launcher.bash: line 90: exec: java: not found

But

Code:

Tchaikovsky ~ # java-config-2 --list-available-vms
The following VMs are available for generation-2:
1)   IcedTea JDK 6.1.12.7 [icedtea-bin-6]
*)   Oracle JRE 1.7.0.51 [oracle-jre-bin-1.7]

Same thing happens if I select icedtea.

What's going on and how do I fix it?

I expected the answer to be no ;)

Does '/usr/bin/java' exist and is it in the users PATH?
Where does '/usr/bin/java' point to?
is 'eselect java-vm' able to fix your issue?

Weird. /usr/bin/java does not exist and eselect java-vm can't load module java-vm. What did I miss?

'/usr/bin/java' belongs to eselct-java. Reinstalling probably fixes it but then we still don't know the reason why it went missing.

Thanks, that helped. I had to emerge -C java-config, emerge eselect-java, then emerge java-config. Somehow, java-config hard-blocked eselect-java, but after doing the above, the hard-block went away. lxmed now works.
