Code:

fpemud-workstation system # pwd
/usr/lib/systemd/system
fpemud-workstation system # ls *\@*
autovt@.service           git-daemon@.service   openvpn@.service       sshd@.service               systemd-nspawn@.service  vsftpd@.service
container-getty@.service  lvm2-pvscan@.service  serial-getty@.service  systemd-backlight@.service  systemd-rfkill@.service  wpa_supplicant@.service
getty@.service            mysqld@.service       smbd@.service          systemd-fsck@.service       user@.service

What does these service mean? What do we call them?
I can't find any systemd doc describing this.

As far as I understand such services can be applied to several devices/locations, which are specified after the @ sign.

For example, enabling the service "getty@tty3" tells systemd to start getty at tty3 at boot, while enabling "systemd-fsck@dev-sdb3" tells it to fsck the partition /dev/sdb3.

Hope this helps!
