Summary: XBMC uses FFMPEG and handbrake uses libav. Those two are not compatible and cannot be installed at the same time.
Is there a way to get them to co-exist on my gentoo?
Update: Wow this is an old scar that goes back three years. Everyone says there's no reason to use libav since ffmpeg merges all their changes and fixes, yet handbrake uses libav.
CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? _________________ Some day there will only be free software.

I got it to build with ffmpeg by using the ffmpeg USE and installing ffmpeg 1.2.5.
I'm not sure if something else changed, I've been monkeying with a lot of media stuff lately. _________________ Some day there will only be free software. |
