When i do File -> Print on KDE applications, i get to wait for 40-60 seconds before the print dialog pops up, during which no CPU or disk activity happens. I confirmed this with okular, kate and konsole (File -> Print Screen). What's worse, okular seems to freeze for that long every time i go to a new page, making it unusable (i suspect the same cause).

It looks like it's timing out on something, but my non-KDE programs do not have this problem (e.g., firefox opens the print window instantaneously). My /etc/cups/client.conf contains (only) a ServerName line in which the CUPS server's IP address is given, so no time is spent on DNS lookup.

I am using KDE 4.11.5.

Any hints?

Thanks :)
