Hi,
after last update, the file /usr/share/bash-completion/git-prompt is no more available. Does anybody know, what happen? Was it moved to different package? |

I've noticed the same thing. I'm curious about the recommended way to enable git status information in the prompt these days. |

This bug seems relevant. git-prompt.sh is no longer installed as a bash completion script because (according to the last comment) eselect behavior is going to be altered such that it wouldn't work with the script anymore.
I guess this means the recommended fix is to un-bzip /usr/share/doc/git-<version>/git-prompt.sh.bz2 into some convenient location, maybe your home directory, and manually source it from ~/.bashrc. Although you'd think there would be a more sensible place to put the file, like somewhere in /etc perhaps.[/bug] |
