Hello,

I am trying to compile pdftk-1.44. When I selected it for emerging the first time, the gcj flag of gcc was selected, so gcc was recompiled. Since it always had problems finding gcj, I recompiled gcc several times, but it doesn't help.

beginning of /var/tmp/portage/app-text/pdftk-1.44/temp/build.log:

Code:
* Package:    app-text/pdftk-1.44
 * Repository: gentoo

It seems gcj is still not installed, although the flag is selected.

Do you have multiple versions of gcc installed? Verify with
Code:
# gcc-config -l
that a version of gcc is selected that has the gcj flag enabled. If necessary, select that version again with gcc-config.

Thank you, that worked. I didn't even know about the gcc profiles. Now pdftk is compiled.
