On a new server installation I get a mail with the following content every time logrotate runs
Code: |
ERROR 2005 (HY000): Unknown MySQL server host '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (1)
I don't know why logrotate needs mysql, but apparently it does as it bothers to send that mail. As default mysql config on gentoo these days creates the mysqld socket in /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock it's quite obvious why it fails. But how do I tell logrotate the correct path to the socket? I can't find any configuration for this. |
