Who would you make as a captain if there was a new series? I'm thinking Benedict Cumberbatch or Alan Rickman.

Mr. Bean.

Not Rowan Atkinson, the Mr. Bean character.

Any non-Brit.

Jim Carrey.

I think he's a fine actor.

That was a joke.

How about Ed Harris. He'd be perfect.

I think I'd rather see a relatively unknown actor though.

I took offence to your joke. Jim Carrey would be great.

He'd make a good one of those blue aliens with the antennae.

No, I know he's a good actor; I just don't think he's right for the part.

Add to the joke list Rush Limbaugh.

Well if there is one thing that can be gleamed from the first 6 captains is that a classically trained British Shakespearean actor does far better than the rest of the rubbish they employ.

Maybe I should have said that they should be a GOOD actor because Shatner was shit

If Michael Jackson were alive, I'd have proposed his name.

++

With Jim Carrey and the three Charlie's Angels as Borg. They could be "5, 4, 3, and 2 of 5", leaving everyone wondering who "1 of 5" is until the final episode of the season, when they find out it is Mini Me Borg.

Sigourney Weaver or Jodie Foster would probably do well. Maybe even Terry Farrell.
