I didn't click the link, but if you're talking about Steve Martin the comic from the 1970s, he's a good banjo player.

I'll bear my soul now. I know I call people rednecks and stuff but I have a big soft spot for the banjo and bluegrass music for some reason.

Some of it is good. Has little to do with being a redneck. It's not like the Chinese and martial arts, or East Asians and math.

Thats because bluegrass music is derived from Scotch and Irish reels and fiddle tunes. It probably reminds you of something familiar.

It's still redneck music; it's just that redneck music is from the UK.

I wouldn't phrase it that way. More like 'redneck music has its roots in the rednecks countries of origin. The barbarian lands of Ireland, Scotland and England. Also known as 'the cursed land' or 'drunk fuckers central''.

You and I both know, the way things work is that the English invent it and the Germans perfect it. It's just the way of things.

Do you like? They've been going since 1985 and are quite popular: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ukulele_Orchestra_of_Great_Britain

They're touring Britain, Germany, Ireland and a gig in Italy this year

Ukes are great. I buy one to donate to sick kids every year. They are small, quiet, and easy on the hands to play. Perfect for hospitals.

Tell me if you like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLgJ7pk0X-s

They were formed 30 years ago to dispel the idea that the ukulele was a "joke" instrument. They've spawned loads of imitators and helped make the ukulele popular

Their Teenage Dirtbag is awesome as well

good, bad, ugly could have been just a hair faster. Its supposed to be majestic as well as solemn. But it was a masterful performance otherwise.

Screw your covers, this is how you prove that the ukulele is a real instrument. http://kevinhufnagel.bandcamp.com/album/ashland
