Hello Everyone

I have about 60 images that I would like to make a simple presentation. It's quite annoying to use libreoffice and add one by one. Is there an easy way to do this via command line?

Any input will be appreciated.

What about naming them in a sensible way (like presentation-01 to presentation-60) and use the slideshow feature that most image viewers offer?

I did something like this using the LaTeX Beamer package. It is designed to create slide shows in pdf format which is the best format for presentations IMO.

I actually automated it so starting from a list of images, the presentation would get created automatically. The .tex file mostly consisted of frames like this:
Code:
\begin{frame}
\mytransition
\color{captioncolor}
\begin{columns}[c]
\column{2.5in}
\centering \label{St John of the Cross:\Type} St John of the Cross, \Type

\includegraphics[width=2.5in]{\IDir/st_john_of_the_cross-1.jpg}

\column{2.5in}

\includegraphics[width=2.5in]{\IDir/st_john_of_the_cross-2.jpg}

\end{columns}
\end{frame}

Edit: added link to Wikipedia Beamer entry.
