Hey there.
I am using a SONY DRU 500AX burner on a 2.6.0-test6 kernel.
It works well both with scsi emulation and ATAPI mode. That said, in both cases the max writting speed detected is 4x. That driver can burn cd-rw in 10x.
Anyone has an idea what could cause this? I am almost sure that I used to burn CDs in 24x mode with a 2.4 kernel. |

That's possible... those CD-RWs are some verbatim which are not that old though. (maybe 4-5 months). That would suck if they only worked at 4x. |
