|recently i installed tilda and since over the years i got really used to xterm's default font, i wanted it to look exactly like a pull-down xterm, with pixel-to-pixel font correntless, but i have some problems with the Fixed font type (i have read that this is supposed to be the font type that xfce uses)
here is a picture: http://oi44.tinypic.com/t7yanm.jpg
it is obvious that there is some problem with the Fixed, size 8 font as it seems to be anti-aliased and also LARGER than the size 9 font of Fixed.
this is not exclusive to tilda only, it goes like this in gnome-commander too (by the way i'm using xfce4)
i also included a shot of the Terminus font, which comes close, but is still not the same
i believe this is not a tilda problem but rather seems to be a system wide problem
also note, that none of the styles for the font help.
