|I replaced the motherboard of my MythTV backend with this. I built a kernel beforehand to support this hardware and everything went smoothly ... except the damn thing cannot boot in it's own. There is no error, just a flashing dash. I have to boot SysRescue USB stick and use 'boot second hard drive' option. I'm using 64-bit no-multilib and Lilo. It's booting BIOS and the hard drive is GPT.
May it be it won't boot because of GPT? Here's what I get from Lilo, this particular drive is set to boot in BIOS:
| lilo -b /dev/sda
Warning: Ignoring entry 'boot'
Warning: LBA32 addressing assumed
Warning: /dev/sda is not on the first disk
Added gentoo *
Edit: I had to convert to MBR and tag partition as bootable to make it work.
