Low profile case for mini-itx with a way to add a video card

Hi,

Looking to make a muscular but small machine that plays well with Linux.

I'm missing the correct terms to search on though.

I'm looking for a way to mount the video card parallel to the motherboard so as to get a thinner case. Similar to a 2u rack mount, only preferably smaller on the large dimensions.

What I have in mind is a mini-itx form factor with an i7-4770 and maybe one of those 6-way video cards.

I also need a KVM-friendly board, which in my understanding would equate to an ESXi-friendly board. So what I can't seem to find is a connector to tip the video card over 90 degrees, and a case that has the room and configuration to handle that. Anyone have any ideas?
