Hi,
I'm using a rather old SIEMENS-sl2-141 router on a wired (connection) PC, thus I believe I don't need ModemManager package.
the thing is, when I try to remove the package, I keep getting this upon emerge -ac:
Code: | * the following required packages not being installed:
*
* >=net-misc/modemmanager-0.7.990 pulled in by:
* gnome-base/gnome-control-center-3.10.3
*
* >=net-misc/modemmanager-0.7.991 pulled in by:
* net-misc/networkmanager-0.9.8.8
*
* Have you forgotten to do a complete update prior to depclean? The

Even though I have this:
Quote: | net-misc/networkmanager -modemmanager
gnome-base/gnome-control-center -modemmanager |
inside /etc/portage/package.use. So obviously, the package keeps getting pulled when I emerge -auND @world
Why is portage keeps pulling that package and how can I make it stop without removing anything from @world?
Thanks |
