Hi there,

When right clicking to bring up the context menu, depending on what application I am in I get two different themes. For example in KWrite I get the nice Oxygen theme, but in a different application, such as GIMP or Chromium I get a completely different boring looking one. How can I amend this?

Secondly, if I am in Stellarium and try to alt-tab back into Chromium, I briefly see parts of Chromium but it doesn't switch.

I am using the latest fglrx driver, I don't know if this has any impact on the second issue.

Thanks

kwrite is a qt app (using qt themes) while TheGimp and Chromium are gtk+(2) app (using gtk+(2) themes).

If you want to change themes for gtk+ apps in kde then :

under System Settings / Application Appearance / GTK, you'll be able to select the theme you wish for your gtk+ applications running in the KDE environment.

If you want the oxygen theme and it does not appear in the drop boxes, then you might need to first emerge :

x11-themes/oxygen-gtk (slot 2 for gtk+2 apps AND slot 3 for gtk+3 apps if you get applications depending on gtk+3)

As simple as that, nice one, thank you.

Any ideas for the alt-tab issue?

Hi,

The 'Install GTK Theme' button is greyed out.

Any ideas?
