Installation of iscan on my system failed.
This is the error message:

If you need help you nned to provide more information. Post outputs of:

emerge --info '=media-gfx/iscan-2.26.2'

and

Also build.log for this package will be usefull.

Would be nice to have a few more lines of the log, but that looks quite straightforward - libpng isn't getting explicitly linked to.

This might be fixed in the more recent version already in portage. There also seems to be 2.29.3, which isn't in portage yet.

Met the same problem ... based on this https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486382 I did remove png useflag and it builts fine now, just in case.
