I'm reinstalling everything and trying to find a terminal with a little less overhead. To sum things up all I care about is something I can copy and paste into and it would be nice if it had a pixel buffer so I could have composting. I used to use terminator but it's friggin' huge as far as terminal emulators go. I heard a lot of good things about rxvf-uncode or urxvt but when I tried it I ran in to all kinds of problems. The characters weren't displaying on the screen. I also couldn't get any changes to the config to have any effect.

I've recently started using urxvt and found that it wont read .Xresources but instantly picks up on .Xdefaults.

Copy and paste for it depends on a perl module that doesn't seem to be in portage. :(

on edit: It does have select and middle click insert functionality.
