My problems arise with the fact that --

Code:
/aticonfig --adapter=0 --od-getclocks
ERROR - X needs to be running to perform AMD Overdrive(TM) commands

I'm using the card purely for OpenCL applications, I want to use the Intel graphics for the display.

So I decided to make a dummy display with the following Xorg.conf as suggested here. So here it is --

Code:
Section "ServerLayout"
        Identifier     "X.org Configured"
        Screen      0  "Screen0" 0 0
        InputDevice    "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
        InputDevice    "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection

Section "ServerLayout"
        Identifier     "dummy seat"
        Screen          1 "dummy screen"
EndSection

Section "Files"
        ModulePath   "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
        FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/misc/"
        FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/TTF/"
        FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/OTF/"
        FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/Type1/"
        FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi/"
        FontPath     "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi/"
EndSection

Section "Module"
        Load  "glx"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier  "Keyboard0"
        Driver      "kbd"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier  "Mouse0"
        Driver      "mouse"
        Option      "Protocol" "auto"
        Option      "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
        Option      "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier   "Monitor0"
        VendorName   "Monitor Vendor"
        ModelName    "Monitor Model"
        Option       "Primary" "true"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier   "dummy monitor"
        VendorName   "Monitor Vendor"

EndSection

        EndSubSection
EndSection

But X seems to ignore xorg.conf.

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep fglrx

returns nothing. There's no mention of ATI, AMD HD in it.

I think I have the same issue in this topic, only exception is that I want to have a "real" X server with a monitor attached to the ati card as well...
