Hello all, I don't use gnome, but I have used evolution for mail since it was developed by ximian (or before -- what was it before? Can't remember.) Now that gnome-3.8 has been unmasked I'm having all kinds of problems with updates. When I try to emerge evolution, I get all kinds of slot conflicts, but this one is very baffling:
Code:
 (x11-libs/gtk+-3.8.7::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by
    >=x11-libs/gtk+-3.7.10:3 required by (gnome-base/gnome-control-center-3.8.6::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge)
    (and 4 more with the same problem)

I don't see how gnome-control-center requires gtk+-3.7.10 when the latest version of gtk+ in portage is 3.8.7 (I just resynced my portage tree this morning):
Code:
 equery list -p gtk+
 * Searching for gtk+ ...
[-P-] [  ] x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r12:1
[-P-] [ -] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.16:2
[IP-] [  ] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.17:2
[-P-] [  ] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.22:2
[IP-] [  ] x11-libs/gtk+-3.4.4:3
[-P-] [ ~] x11-libs/gtk+-3.6.3-r3:3
[-P-] [ ~] x11-libs/gtk+-3.8.6:3
[-P-] [  ] x11-libs/gtk+-3.8.7:3

Here is the entire list of slot conflicts:
Code:
x11-libs/gtk+:3

  (x11-libs/gtk+-3.8.7::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by
    >=x11-libs/gtk+-3.7.10:3 required by (gnome-base/gnome-control-center-3.8.6::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge)
    (and 4 more with the same problem)

gnome-base/gsettings-desktop-schemas:0

    >=gnome-base/gsettings-desktop-schemas-3.7.2.2 required by (gnome-base/gnome-control-center-3.8.6::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge)
    (and 1 more with the same problem)

  (gnome-base/gsettings-desktop-schemas-3.6.1::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    (no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)

x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf:2

    >=x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.27.1:2[introspection?,X?] required by (x11-libs/gtk+-3.8.7::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge)

  (x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.26.4::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    (no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)

    (and 1 more with the same problem)

  (dev-libs/atk-2.6.0::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    (no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)

x11-libs/pango:0

  (x11-libs/pango-1.30.1::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    (no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)

  (x11-libs/pango-1.34.1::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by
    >=x11-libs/pango-1.32.4[introspection?] required by (x11-libs/gtk+-3.8.7::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge)

net-misc/curl:0
  (net-misc/curl-7.31.0::gentoo, installed) pulled in by
    net-misc/curl[curl_ssl_gnutls=,curl_ssl_nss=,curl_ssl_openssl=,-curl_ssl_axtls,-curl_ssl_cyassl,-curl_ssl_polarssl] required by (dev-python/pycurl-7.19.0-r3::gentoo, installed)

  (net-misc/curl-7.31.0::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by
    net-misc/curl[ssl,curl_ssl_nss] required by (net-libs/liboauth-1.0.1::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge)

Can I just unmerge all package versions that are marked "no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot"?
Any help?
