Hello
I am doing a fresh installation of gentoo and want to try out Gnome 3.X, after all there exists a gnome/systemd profile.
When following the Handbook at one point it states:
Quote: |
6.c. Optional: Using systemd
The remainder of the Gentoo Handbook focuses on OpenRC as the default init support system. If you want to use systemd instead, or are planning to use Gnome 3.8 and later (which requires systemd), please consult the systemd page (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd) on the Gentoo wiki as it elaborates on the different configuration settings and methods.
The Gentoo Handbook can then be followed with that page in mind.

On that page there is an explanation on how to install systemd, I am wondering, when do I do that. In the chrooted environment or after reboot?
Do I have to take care of something when using "genkernel all"?
etc. |
