hi all
Youtube is showing me a message:
Code: |
You're using an older version of Mozilla Firefox that we'll soon stop supporting. Please update your browser to the latest version.
|
But I'm on version 31.3.0, which according to eix is the current stable version for AMD64
Is there a plan to mark one of the newer versions as stable soon?
thanks, Ian _________________ Asus X570-PRO, Ryzen 7 5800X, GeForce GTX 1650, 32 GB RAM | Asus Sabertooth P990, AMD FX-8150, GeForce GTX 560, 16GB Ram |

You can install the unstable version of firefox (version 35.0) by unmasking the file. |

iandoug ... you could do as Keruskerfuerst suggests and keyword the package, however, how long do you think "soon" will be? I'd just ignore it (if its not too annoying) as I imagine by the time "soon" comes higher versions will no doubt be stablised.
best ... khay |

I am not getting that on YouTube with my Gentoo laptop. I am using Firefox, not the binary one. I like building as much as possible. _________________ Ever picture systemd as what runs "The Borg"? |

By chance, are you using a user agent switcher? _________________ --Aaron |

I don't have any significant problem with this unstable version although when I open the browser, sometimes it might not respond just in time. By the way, you can keep using the old version and turn on the auto-update feature in firefox setting to automatically update the newest stable version. | latest versions suck. i use now only extended support versions. all the browsers are now trying to copy the idiotic chrome look. we have been teached about the ponzi scheme but people never learn... _________________
