So, now it is more or less one year that I use Gentoo, and I'm really satisfied.
Before that, my experience with Linux was just a few months testing various distributions, and I thought that Gentoo could be too difficult for a beginner, but I kept on going, and I learned so much in this year that I can teach to some colleagues of mine that use Ubuntu or Mint since years, and don't even know what fstab is.
Thank you very much for helping me on freenode and on this forum, I hope I'll do the same in the future with other newbies

Congrats! That's exactly what I felt like after ~1 year of using gentoo, too.

Had to emphasize this. In my opinion the most important gain from starting and keeping to use gentoo. :D

leonixyz,

You are hooked!

You may stray from Gentoo but you will always come back
