|I'm not certain to properly understand the use of PaX on gentoo-hardened.
I've studied some buffer overflow attacks, I even wrote some articles in French on this subject, I also understand what PaX provides on a system, the difficulty or the impossibility to make this kind of attack.
But I do not understand how to set it up on my gentoo.
After reading the documentation on the wiki gentoo, I concluded that XATTR_PAX is the preferred approach.
So after activating the options from the wiki in the hardened-sources kernel, what should I do to protect my system with PaX?
Also, if you have any tips, tricks or anything else on gentoo-hardened, I would like to expand my limited knowledge.
thank you in advance
